Plymouth and Tavistock-based Condy Mathias Chartered Accountants is thrilled to welcome Joshua Baker to its dynamic team as an Accounts Assistant.

Currently undertaking his studies for the AAT level qualification, Joshua comes to the firm from another local practice.

This previous experience has helped to equip him with valuable experience in preparing accounts, management accounts, and tax returns for a broad spectrum of clients, but he is looking to further his expertise at Condy Mathias.

His role at the leading South West accountancy firm will involve daily account preparation and a new focus on audit processes.

He is keen to finish his AAT qualifications and advance towards chartered status. His ambition within the firm is to enhance his expertise in accounting and auditing, steadily progressing in seniority.

Joshua expressed his enthusiasm about the independence his role offers. He said: “I am delighted to be joining such a respected practice and I am looking forward to preparing accounts and exploring audit avenues that encourage strategic thinking.”

Condy Mathias has a long and proud history of supporting up-and-coming accountants into the profession, by providing the flexibility and encouragement for its team to explore specialisms and new areas of expertise.

John Hillier, Managing Director at Condy Mathias, said: “We at Condy Mathias believe Joshua’s progressive approach and commitment to his professional growth will make a significant contribution to our firm and our clients. We are excited that he has decided to pursue his career with us.”
